ABG's aims to hog spotlight with fast and streamlined production at Label Expo 2011 |

AB Graphic International Ltd. based in Bridlington, will be participating in full force at the stand 6H70 at Label Expo Brussels to be held from 28 September to 1 October 2011.
ABG of the United Kingdom will feature their latest developments in the Omega and Vectra range of label converting and finishing lines with the focus on fast job changes, reduced waste and non-stop production.
Tony Bell, Sales Director, AB Graphic International says, "We are pleased to invite visitors from across the world in our endeavour to put our best show. This year show will mark a history for us as we have the biggest ever stand and presence at Label Expo 2011 in Brussels. ABG will have its team members of around 40 people to welcome and give personal attention to our esteemed customers and visitors."
Two versions of the company's Omega Digicon 2, label converting lines will run live demonstrations featuring non-stop operation with semi-automatic turret rewinders to eliminate additional finishing. One model will be demonstrated off-line with a basic turret rewinder to allow machine slow down when the finished roll terminates and the second will operate at full speed and include Nordson automatic gluing.
The new Omega ATR inspection rewinder will also be featured. This model is equipped with turret rewinder to allow the operator to visually inspect the web while maintaining non-stop finishing.
Featuring new software upgrades, the Digicon Sabre Xtreme laser cutter will be demonstrated running three jobs with non-stop digital die changes and Tidland automatic slit pattern changeover. The system will feature digital cold foil application through inkjet technology to apply the adhesive without the use of printing plates. This also gives the opportunity to print variable date in cold foil.
Several Omega Digicon converting lines will also feature on the HP stand 9F65 and 9G65, converting digitally printed webs in line with the HP Indigo W6000 print engine.

Convertec to launch new DigiBraille machine for digital Braille printing |
The Scandinavian graphic arts technology supplier Convertec Graphic Technics AB will be at the stand 9H30 in the digital hall at the Label Expo in Brussels.
Convertec will reveal its new DigiBraille unit for Digital Braille printing inclusive of an InLine Braille inspection system. The DigiBraille is a new development both for the machine configuration and the printing configuration.
The Machine consists of a CI-drum where the new Xdot printing heads and the Braille inspection system is placed. When printing booklets the books are stretched out and become as low as possible due to the CI configuration. This gives very high quality of Braille inscription on all substrates, however is remarkably high on booklets.
During test and trials conducted at the Convertec R&D facility, the new printing heads, Xdot, have achieved a remarkably high speeds compared with the existing technology.
At Convertec stands 9H30, the DigiBraille unit will be displayed with multiple labels options across printing and direct inspection of the Braille.
Peter Nobelius, Director of Sales at Convertec Graphic Technics AB says, "We welcome any visitors or customers during show hours for regular and conventional demos. However, if anyone is interested in any particular and personalized demonstration of the machine, we will arrange a private demo session after the shows hours too. Convertec‘s customers are primarily within the flexible packaging industry, the label industry, and the carton and corrugated industries across the world.
Early this year in February 2011, Convertec’s Indian partners Creed Engineers based in Gurgaon in the Delhi NCR, had installed the first Braillemaker One in the Asian subcontinent. The machine was installed at the leading European Label Printing Company Reynders Label Printing India based in Chopanki Industrial Area Chopanki of Bhiwadi in Rajasthan.
Creed Engineers representatives will be will be present at the stand of Convertec to meet the customers for any inquiry and demo arrangement from the Indian Subcontinent.

3. HP to showcase "Digital Supermarket" powered by Indigo digital printing technology |
HP will be present with innovative range of digital printing technology on stands of 9F65 and 9G65 in the digital halls at Label Expo Europe.
At the show, HP Indigo’s 'Digital Supermarket' will feature hundreds of consumer items with labels and packaging printed by HP print service providers (PSPs) for their customers on HP Indigo ws6000 and ws4500 digital presses.
Labels and packaging stuff for household, healthcare, beauty and pharmaceutical products will be exhibited along with a wide variety of illustrations for wine and beer labels as well. Products on display at the show on the HP stand will have items that have been personalized with consumers’ images and messages, uploaded via brand websites and printed with HP Indigo presses and delivered to them at their destinations.
A large number of HP Indigo digital presses will be running live on the HP stands, including the ws6000, and in the adjacent zone "Digital Print Workshop." HP is a sponsor of the Digital Printing Workshops that will be presented in Hall-9, opposite to the HP stand. Label converters have the opportunity to take part in a variety of sessions; including seeing and evaluating the same job run on different digital presses, using identical substrate qualities.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see labels and flexible packaging, shrink sleeves and folding cartons produced, using the latest HP Indigo presses and finished with end-to-end technology from HP partners to create high-value products for consumer and industrial markets.
Among HP partners on the stand will be EskoArtwork and AB Graphic International which will be presenting digital pre-press automation and modular finishing technology respectively.

HP will be conducting a unique wine tasting event at 16:00pm every day where HP will be pouring wines from around the world bearing labels printed on HP Indigo digital presses.

Jet Europe BV to demonstrate the latest packaging solution for the packaging industry |
At the Label Expo in Hall 11 and stand 11R60, Jet Europe BV will showcases its latest range of digital photopolymer printing plates, in addition to state-of-the-art washing, exposure, drying, finishing and cleaning equipment and the new Kodak NX system.
Harry Heesen, Managing Director, Jet Europe says, "Jet Europe will demonstrate the latest developments in different ways on behalf of optimizing workflow, water and solvent photopolymer plates, cleaning products and double sided adhesive tapes."

The agreement nominated Jet Europe as the sole European distributor of Digiflex CtP systems. The agreement covers the sales, marketing and technical support of DigiFlex’ FlexoJet 1724 inkjet computer-to-plate system for flexographic, dry-offset and letterpress plates, as well as the associated DigiFlex ink and DigiFlex coating sheets.
At the stands of Jet Europe products on display will be Kodak Flexcel NX system, Interflex Solvent Washer, Jetline plate processing, Waterpress and Polyflex plate processing, Jet Eco Cleaner, Jet Sleeve Cleaner and Digiflex.

Rotatek set for the worldwide launch of New Brava 330 at the Label Expo Europe |
Rotatek is participating in a grand style at the Label Expo in Brussels with a booked area of 3900 sq ft in hall-5 stand 5B40. The Barcelona España (Spain) based Rotatek is set for a worldwide launch of the New Brava 330 semi-rotary machine, a new servo-driven combination flexo press, 330mm wide and designed for high quality short run work of the Industry.
The new Brava 330 offers the same capabilities as the Brava 420 but in a dedicated semi-rotary format. The company will also showcase an offset unit of its Universal press with interchangeable sleeves.
Also on display will be the Rotatek Brava 420 hybrid rotary/semi-rotary press with a 400mm web width with a new embossing system with gap master regulation and an inline silkscreen unit.

These two great machines by Brava machines by Rotatek are suitable for high range product and printing very short runs for low times of change and adjustment. Schober Technologies to unveil upgraded RSM line of rotary die-cutting machine |
Hochdorf based Schober Technologies Germany will be present in Label Expo 2011 in hall-11 and stand 11R70.
Schober will unveil an updated model of its rotary die cutting machine for Inmould labels RSM line the Spider, a high-speed automated stacking and counting system for stacking large IML products at a web speed of up to 50m/min.
The Spider can handle different types of products with exchangeable, product-specific pick-up plates, taking up products with synchronized speed and stacking them non-stop into a dual piling cassette system. A 100 percent product inspection system with discharge facility of bad products is also available at Schober.
The Inmould labels RSM line’s highlight is the five product stacking devices available with the machine especially the V-Stack robot automated stacking delivery system for very large products which cannot be handled with the M or S-Stack delivery systems.
The machine comes with a working width of 410 mm, 520 mm, 550 mm, 670 mm, 740 mm and 850 mm offering reliable product stacking with various product orientations.
Also at the show stand Schober will be presenting its highly economical entry level solution RFID-Combi. The machine is especially tailored for the insertion of RFID-Transponders or electronic product security tags under pre-printed self adhesive labels.
