Printing evolves, so must the book finishing automation
CEM succeeded in becoming a world leader closely watching the evolutions in print technology and developing book finishing systems suitable to handle any printed stationery and any printing pattern. There is hardly a type of book finishing application as it relates to type of stock or print layout or type of document that CEM has not successfully coped with. For multiple webs stock, parallel print or East/ West print cut sheet stock, multiple names in sequence, single page processing or folio set processing, for any print method, CEM has solution.

When digital output is in continuous web, CEM offers a plurality of input modules based on technology that can deliver up to 60,000 docs/hour 12" printed 2-up. Single web processing as well as dual web processing as used depending on applications. Paper transport can be with sprocket holes or pinless. Strip cut is available at no reduction of cutting speed rate. CEM Cutter based input modules are currently supplied OEM to major mailing system manufactures.

To meet the ever increasing demand for high performance and reliability in post print processing, CEM offers a fully integrated Input Module to process cut sheets for a variety of post print processing equipment. Innovative design approach for vacuum control and drum drive control allows for feeding of sheets at 60,000 cycle/h along the 11" side and with variable page count. Unique feature is the ability to handle print streams with commingled stocks of different paper thickness.

The MP602 has two separate input channels, each for one separate form or for the two halves of a same form. When it is combined with the Synchronized Slitting Unit, it is a high speed system able to process documents printed 2-up East/West. It can group two separate forms in any collating sequence with or without interleaving as directed by OMR, OCR, BCR, 2D codes or according to pre set cutting program. Throughput : up to 50,000 sheets / hour (12").
